Dock Street, Leeds

In 1985, Leeds BPT was the instigator of the restoration of these Georgian warehouses on Dock Street in Leeds, owned by Joshua Tetley & Sons, for occupation by Leeds Council for Voluntary Service (LCVS). A design, structural and financial feasibility study was carried out, grant-aided by the then West Yorkshire County Council and the Civic Trust in London through its Urban Initiatives Fund. The project was then taken on by Leeds City Council, with Leeds BPT acting in an advisory role. Construction began in 1986 and was completed in 1987.
